A 45-year-old Laois man found with €285,000 worth of cocaine, cannabis, and ecstasy in a garden shed has a €1,000 daily cocaine habit and a cocaine debt of up to €60,000. The man was arrested during a search operation in Portlaoise as part of Operation Tara, targeting drug-trafficking networks. Large quantities of suspected cannabis herb, cocaine, and MDMA were seized, along with a sawn-off shotgun and ammunition. The man is due before Portlaoise District Court.
