Kogi State House of Assembly in Nigeria approves the recruitment of 1,050 hunters to boost security and combat crime. The decision comes after a letter from Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Salami Deedat, requesting approval for 50 hunters in each of the 21 Local Government Areas. The Caretaker Chairmen of the local government will be responsible for paying the hunters' salaries.
