A pedestrian was fatally struck by a Union Pacific train in Topeka on June 18th, near North Kansas Ave and Northeast Norris St. at around 5:05 PM. Topeka police and Union Pacific Railroad are cooperating in the ongoing investigation. The train's crew remained uninjured. Union Pacific operates the largest railroad network in North America and around 60 trains pass through Topeka daily.
