Josh Gad is set to star and produce in a sequel to the 1987 Mel Brooks classic "Spaceballs", with original creator Brooks returning as a producer. The script is being written by Gad, Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez, with Josh Greenbaum set to direct. The film will be developed at Amazon MGM Studios and will further parody popular sci-fi franchises, like the original film. Plot details are currently under wraps.
