JetBlue extends free carry-on bag to all customers on Blue Basic fares starting September 6, 2024.

JetBlue announced on June 18, 2024, that from September 6, all customers, including those with Blue Basic fares, will receive a free carry-on bag. This move aims to make JetBlue's basic economy offerings more competitive and an attractive budget-friendly travel option for domestic and international destinations. Previously, the Blue Basic fare only allowed a personal item that could fit under the seat.
