Ghana's Energy Minister attributes recent power outages to various factors, not load shedding by ECG.
Ghana's Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, stated that recent power outages in the country were not due to load shedding by the ECG, but rather various factors, including localized overloads, transformer issues, an emergency shutdown at CenPower, and ongoing maintenance at Amandi Power plant. Most of the outages were unplanned, so ECG couldn't announce a load-shedding schedule.
