German authorities have canceled the arrest warrant for Lebanon's ex-central bank chief, Riad Salameh, but continue investigating him for corruption charges. Salameh, Lebanon's central bank governor for 30 years, faced charges in Germany last year. His assets remain frozen, and he still faces an arrest warrant in France and an Interpol red notice. Germany is also investigating Salameh and his brother for alleged money laundering.
