Florida A&M University receives $50M in state funding from Governor Ron DeSantis for improvements, faculty recruitment, and expansion.

Florida A&M University (FAMU) received $50M in state funding from Governor Ron DeSantis, aimed at improving graduation and retention rates, recruiting/retaining top faculty, and addressing the nursing shortage. Funds will also support FAMU-FSU College of Engineering expansion and initiatives for Performance-Based Funding. FAMU aims to become the first HBCU to achieve Carnegie R-1 status with these funds.
