Education Minister Norma Foley introduces plans for schools to record and report bullying incidents in an anonymised national database.

Education Minister Norma Foley reveals new plans to tackle bullying in schools. Schools must now record all incidents of bullying and include these in an anonymised national database, part of an annual report. The whole school community – including students, parents, teachers, caretakers and cleaners – must ensure that bullying is not tolerated. New rules will also see schools tackle "hidden spaces" in hallways, staircases and playgrounds where there is a greater risk of bullying.
