Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed a 0.85% increase in its prime index, DSEX, on the first working day after the Eid-ul-Azha holiday, reaching 5161.4. Despite ongoing concerns about a proposed capital gains tax, trading activity remained sluggish, hitting its lowest level in a year. Investor participation was limited, resulting in reduced trading. This marks the third consecutive day of upward trend in the DSE.
