Côte d'Ivoire received a $35 million payment from the World Bank for reducing 7 million tons of carbon emissions, as part of the Emission Reductions Payment Agreement. The funds support the country's efforts in reducing deforestation, enhancing carbon stocks, and promoting sustainable land use practices, in line with its commitments under the Paris Agreement. The payment is based on high-integrity emission reductions from forest conservation, rehabilitation, and agroforestry activities.
