Ballard Power Systems and Vertiv partner for hydrogen fuel cell backup power in data centers.

Ballard Power Systems and Vertiv have signed a partnership deal focused on the use of hydrogen-powered fuel cell systems for backup power applications in data centers. Vertiv, a provider of power and cooling systems, has integrated Ballard fuel cell power modules into one of its uninterruptible power systems in a successful proof of concept at its Ohio facility. The partnership aims to provide cost-effective, zero greenhouse gas emission fuel cell backup power solutions that are scalable.
