Alabama Department of Agriculture finds Africanized honeybee swarms in Jackson and St. Clair counties, euthanizes them.

Alabama's Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI) has discovered feral Africanized honeybee (AHB) swarms in Jackson and St. Clair counties. The bees, which pose risks to humans and animals, were euthanized to protect local bee populations. ADAI is setting up traps near detection sites, reaching out to local beekeepers, and urging the public to report any unusual aggressive bee behavior.
