Air India introduces premium economy seats on select domestic flights, adopting a three-class cabin configuration.

Air India will introduce premium economy seats and upgrade the cabin on select domestic flights from July 1, as part of its aim to have a three-class cabin configuration on its entire narrow body aircraft fleet. This move makes Air India only the second Indian airline to have a three-class cabin (business, premium economy, and economy) in the country, with Vistara being the first. Air India will launch the premium economy class on the Delhi-Chandigarh-Delhi and Delhi-Bengaluru-Delhi routes for now.
