AFLW players can now be inducted into the Hall of Fame after one year of retirement, down from five.
AFLW players, such as Erin Phillips and Daisy Pearce, can now be inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame after just one year of retirement, down from the previous five-year requirement. This change, announced by AFL Chair Richard Goyder, acknowledges the significant contributions AFLW stars have made to women's football. Both Phillips and Pearce are considered future Hall of Fame inductees.
