35-year-old man, John David Scott, has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of mother-of-four Natasha Melendez in Lisburn in 2020. Melendez, a 32-year-old Venezuelan woman, was attacked on March 22 and died from her injuries on April 1. Scott, whose address was given as Maghaberry Prison, also admitted to three prior physical assaults on Melendez.
