Xiaoyi, a coal hub in China's Shanxi Province, is transitioning into a hydrogen energy pioneer as it seeks new growth opportunities. In late May, three hydrogen-powered trucks successfully delivered coal cargo over 700 km to Tianjin Port. Pengfei Group, the manufacturer of these trucks, recently secured an order for 500 hydrogen-powered heavy trucks, with plans to deploy at least 1,000 annually from 2025 to 2028.
