University of Saskatchewan receives CAD 600,000 for NASA-led HAWC satellite mission research.
The University of Saskatchewan (USask) received CAD 600,000 from the province's Innovation and Science Fund to further research on the High-altitude Aerosol, Water Vapor, and Cloud (HAWC) satellite mission, a NASA-led project involving 14 universities. The HAWC mission aims to predict extreme weather, monitor disasters, and gather data for climate change research. USask has been developing Canadian satellite instruments for the project over 15 years.
