A truck carrying propane tanks caught fire on Interstate 5 in N. Portland early Tuesday, closing all lanes of the busy freeway for safety due to exploding canisters. The southbound lanes reopened at around 6 a.m., while the northbound lanes remained closed. The driver was able to disconnect from the trailer and drive off, and there were no hazardous materials of concern, according to Portland Fire & Rescue.
