St. Boniface Hospital Foundation has received a $10M donation, its largest ever, from late philanthropist Miriam Bergen, who passed away in January 2022. Bergen, a Winnipeg business leader, left the bequest in her estate, with half allocated for the hospital's new emergency department and the other half for its cardiac services program. The donation is described as transformational by hospital CEO Nicole Aminot.
