Southwest Research Institute (SWRI) broke ground on a new 2-story, 36,600-square-foot research facility called the Center for Accelerating Materials and Processes (CAMP). The facility focuses on high-speed aerospace engines, aiming to develop faster and more efficient manufacturing techniques for hypersonic propulsion systems, benefitting military advancements, national security, economic development, and job creation. Construction is expected to be completed within a year.
