A wildfire, known as the South Fork Fire, has forced evacuations in Upper Canyon and Brady Canyon areas of Ruidoso, New Mexico. The Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management has issued a "Go" status for immediate evacuation, with residents directed to the Main Road to NM 48. Cedar Creek's backend is also on a "Set" status, meaning residents should be prepared to evacuate if notified. The Ruidoso Convention Center has been set up as an evacuation shelter.
