Seoul city plans to invest 650bn won ($471m) over 5 years to help universities develop workforces for future industries, aiming to boost global competitiveness and become a top five global city. Funds will be provided to 42 universities, with 12 select universities receiving 60bn won for projects focused on licensing and IP development. Annual allocation is 130bn won for enhancing university-company collaboration.
