2 occupants died after fleeing police vehicle crashed into a tree on Lambie Drive, Papatoetoe. The crash occurred at 11:40pm, with police signaling the vehicle to stop due to stolen plates. Despite deploying spikes, the car swerved and crashed. Passengers were critically injured and one died at the scene, while another was transported to the hospital. Police and IPCA are investigating the incident.
