North Star adopts the Midi-SOV, a 55-meter offshore wind craft developed by Chartwell Marine and Vard, as a cost-effective alternative to full-scale SOVs. Bridging the gap between CTVs and SOVs, the Midi-SOV offers enhanced comfort and workability for offshore wind projects and will complement existing fleets in European operations. North Star invested in upfront design fees for the vessel's construction.
