The Irish government is launching a tender process for charter flights to facilitate deportations of people without permission to remain in the country. Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee, said that the move would increase the options available to law enforcement for deportations and would be more appropriate when a group of people are being removed to the same destination. The tender follows a significant increase in deportation orders this year.
