8 drivers in Ireland have been fined a total of €114,000 for repeatedly avoiding M50 toll payments. The highest fine of €25,000 was imposed on a woman who ignored 500 warning letters for 485 unpaid tolls. Six car owners and two commercial vehicle owners faced charges for using the motorway between August and December last year, after Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) prosecuted them following hundreds of warning letters.
