Finnish Wärtsilä launches 100% hydrogen-ready engine power plant, targeting net-zero emissions.
Finnish technology group Wärtsilä has launched a 100% hydrogen-ready large-scale engine power plant, moving towards net-zero emissions. The hydrogen-ready engine power plant, based on the Wärtsilä 31 engine platform, can run on 100% hydrogen and has completed the first stage of TÜV SÜD's H2-Readiness certification. The 100% hydrogen-ready engine is expected to be available for orders in 2025 and delivery from 2026.
