Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb reaffirmed the government's commitment to cut expenditures and boost revenues, aiming to strengthen Pakistan's economy. The minister said the government will shut down parallel ministries or departments that have been devolved to provinces, privatize state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and outsource airports to improve efficiency and reduce financial burden. The government is also planning to increase the tax net by bringing other sectors into it and digitizing tax for better transparency and reduced corruption.
