Apple discontinues Apple Pay Later in the US and introduces a new loan program with installment loans and partnerships.
Apple is discontinuing its "buy now, pay later" (BNPL) service, Apple Pay Later, in the US and replacing it with a new loan program that offers installment loans through credit and debit cards, as well as partnering with lenders. The new solution will provide more flexible payment options for users worldwide, in collaboration with Apple Pay-enabled banks and lenders. Users with open loans in the BNPL service will still be able to manage and pay them through the Wallet app.
