AI-based blood test predicts Parkinson's up to 7 years before symptoms, with 100% accuracy.

Researchers at University College London and University Medical Center Goettingen have developed a blood test, using AI, which can predict Parkinson's disease up to seven years before symptoms appear. The test, which analyses a panel of eight blood-based biomarkers, has shown 100% accuracy in diagnosing Parkinson's. If validated, the test could enable earlier treatment options for patients and potentially slow or prevent the onset of Parkinson's.
