Stellantis and Leapmotor begin EV production at Tychy plant in Poland, as part of their joint venture.
Stellantis and China's Leapmotor have begun EV production at Stellantis' Tychy plant in Poland, with the first units of Leapmotor's T03 small EV rolling off the assembly line last week. The joint venture is part of a wider cooperation, with Stellantis buying a 21% stake in Leapmotor for $1.6bn. The Polish facility was chosen as the first production base in Europe for Leapmotor's cars due to cost-saving reasons.
