A small plane crashed in Colonie, NY, on Monday, resulting in one fatality. The twin-engine Piper Navajo, based in Canada, took off from Albany International Airport and crashed shortly after. Authorities requested drivers to avoid the area around Maxwell Road, Albany Shaker, Wolf Road, and Albany Shaker during the investigation. The FAA and NTSB were notified, and access roads to the town library were temporarily closed before reopening at 1 p.m.
