Meghna Gulzar, known for films based on real-life incidents, is directing a movie inspired by the 2019 Hyderabad rape case, set for production by end-2024 and a 2025 release. Kareena Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana are in advanced talks for lead roles, making it their first collaboration. This marks Gulzar's first time working with both actors.
