IFC pledges $105 million to Brookfield Asset Management's 550 MW solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This is the first investment in Asia and the Pacific by IFC using a hybrid offtake structure, providing solar power to C&I consumers through long-term PPAs and the merchant market via exchanges. The project aims to contribute to India's decarbonization goals and is expected to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by 8,04,408 tonnes of CO2 annually.
