Rep. Mike Turner, House Intelligence Committee chairman, defended two Republican appointees to the committee, Reps. Scott Perry and Ronny Jackson, after they came under scrutiny for past behavior. Turner said both lawmakers have military experience and have not mishandled classified information. Speaker Mike Johnson will "assert leadership" if any improper behavior occurs, Turner added.
