Deutsche Bank acquires €1.7bn aviation loans from NordLB, allowing NordLB to exit the aviation sector.
Deutsche Bank AG has agreed to purchase €1.7bn in aviation loans from NordLB, with NordLB exiting the sector to focus on renewable energy financing. Deutsche Bank will start taking over the assets from the end of this month. The acquisition follows a bidding process, NordLB's total aviation portfolio amounts to about €2.8bn, with the remaining €1.1bn to be wound down over time.
