In Yellowstone National Park, a cow elk was chased by a wolf, but turned the tables and began chasing the wolf, which barely escaped. The gray wolf usually needs a pack to take down an adult elk, and the elk's fierce motherly instinct and powerful hooves make it challenging for a single wolf. The footage was captured by guide Bo Welden in Hayden Valley, featuring a member of the Wapiti Lake Pack.
