Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe announced that feasibility studies for land connectivity with India and a power grid connection are near completion. These topics, along with Indian projects in Sri Lanka and illegal fishing by Indian fishermen, will likely be discussed during External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's visit to Sri Lanka. Indian projects in Sri Lanka include the Adani group's wind power project in Mannar and an industrial zone in Trincomalee.
