South Korea's government and People Power Party agreed to provide 1.3 million vulnerable households with increased energy vouchers and frozen electricity rates during the hot summer.
South Korea's ruling People Power Party & gov't officials agreed to provide 1.3 million vulnerable households with up to 53,000 won ($38) energy vouchers during the hotter-than-average summer. Support increased by 10,000 won from last year, & electricity rates will remain frozen for 3.6 million vulnerable households. This decision follows a meeting of gov't, presidential office, & PPP officials.
