20 protesters carrying NSUI pamphlets were booked for protesting and attempting to enter Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's residence in Delhi. Police had informed them that Section 144 of the CrPC was in place, prohibiting gatherings, but they continued to raise slogans and tried to enter the premises. A case was filed under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the IPC.
