NASA and ESA observatories find potential habitable exoplanets in stars' radiation with Earth-like X-ray levels.
NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory & ESA's XMM Newton study nearby stars' radiation to find exoplanets that could support life. By analyzing X-ray emissions and stellar flares in 57 stars, researchers found some with habitable zone X-ray radiation similar to or milder than Earth's, which may sustain rich atmospheres. This research paves the way for future efforts in the search for habitable exoplanets.
