Millions of "legacy" benefit claimants to transition to Universal Credit over the next year.

Millions of benefit claimants will see their 'legacy' payments phased out over the next year and replaced with Universal Credit (UC). Migration Notice letters will be sent to impacted individuals, giving them three months to apply for UC to avoid payment cessation. Affected benefits include Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
