Manila Electric Company (Meralco) reduces June electricity rates by P1.9623/kWh due to the Energy Regulatory Commission's (ERC) order for staggered collection of Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) costs from May supply into four equal monthly installments from June to September 2024. The reduced rate lowers the total rate for an average household to P9.4516/kWh from P11.4139/kWh in May.
