Elon Musk's Twitter (X Corp) banned 2.29 lakh accounts in India between Apr 26 and May 25, mainly for promoting child sexual exploitation, non-consensual nudity, and terrorism. In the same period, X Corp processed 76 grievance appeals against account suspensions and received 17,580 user complaints. A total of 230,892 accounts were banned in India during this period, under the new IT Rules, 2021.
