A home in Victor Township, Clinton County, is a "total loss" after a fire with heavy smoke started early Saturday. The occupants and a pet dog escaped safely, and the fire was under control by 7:45 a.m. No injuries were reported. The Bath Township Fire Department and DeWitt Township Fire Department responded to the scene on West Victoria Drive, where heavy smoke was visible from miles away.
