On Sunday, experienced surfers braved treacherous waves at Sandon Point, Illawarra, amidst a Bureau of Meteorology warning about hazardous conditions caused by a Tasman low. Large waves exceeding five metres were expected to cause beach erosion for south-facing coastlines, with conditions easing by early Tuesday, June 18th.
