Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway began full-line operations at a speed of 350 kph on June 15, following an increase of the maximum permissible speed on its Wuhan-Guangzhou section. The railway, running through six provincial-level regions, aims to connect key areas in China and boost transport capacity by 4.2%. This increase equates to 10.8 additional high-speed trains between Beijing and Guangzhou daily, or 16,000 extra seats.
