60-year-old Lancaster WWII bomber FM213 returns to Goderich Regional Airport, having been restored by Canada's Warplane Museum.
60 years after its initial visit, a Lancaster WWII bomber, one of only two airworthy globally, returned to Goderich Regional Airport on June 14. The Lancaster FM213, initially acquired by Goderich Legion and served as a war memorial, was later restored by Canada's Warplane Museum in 1988. The aircraft, not used in overseas service, completed maritime patrol and search and rescue missions in Canada before retiring in 1963.
