21-year-old homeless Fort Smith woman, Summer Meeks, pleaded not guilty to first-degree battery charges on Thursday, in connection with a stabbing incident earlier this month. The victim, a 58-year-old man, was found with multiple injuries and taken to a nearby hospital. Meeks is being held in Sebastian County Jail on a $2,500 bond and is ordered to have no contact with the victim. This is Meeks' eighth arrest in 2024.
